CD RELATIONSHIPS

On the CD Relationships Regina Ribeiro presents  compositions in partnership with the Cameroonian bassist Noel Ekwabi (former musical director of Manu Dibango), with the American drummer and percussionist Jon Otis and with the Brazilian saxophonist Glaucus Linx, who signs the arrangements and the musical production of the CD together with the bassist  Mauro Martins.  The work also features the song “Cavalo”, an unpublished composition.  by the São Paulo musician Sheik Silva, in addition to the songs “Todos Nós” by Juca Filho and Gjis Andriessen and “Fogo Justiça e Amor” by Luis Bacalhau and  Wadu da Ribeira.

The Relationships CD was recorded on  Studio Ekeko at  Friburgo in Switzerland by coach Sérgio Gautier, mixed in  Studio Nave  per  Glaucus Linx  & Ricardo Rezende “Kiko” and mastered at Music Master Studio by  Ricardo Soares  in  Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil.  

The album cover art was developed by the architect and graphic designer Thais Ribeiro. Photographers: Léa Moser and Ghideon Ghebray.

The album Relationships received excellent reviews from the international press, including the renowned  swiss magazine  Jazz'n'More.

MASAO MASU, two musicians who connect the world of yesterday to the world of today (contemporary). They perpetuate and enrich the tradition of the Sawa people of Cameroon. On his new single "Ngum'a Besua", recorded at Battamobile Studio in Paris, MASAO MASU, (Les Jumeaux de Masao)  shares his musical experience with the Afro-Brazilian singer REGINA RIBEIRO.
