Online Workshop

Contemporary Afro-Brazilian Dance

The focus of this Workshop is the development and encouragement of rhythmical perception. The aim is to enable students to regain contact with the „earth“ element. Various exercises will help conciliate their own rhythm. This facilitates a conscious perception of the self and a strong relationship with the center of the body, the abdomen.

In African mythologies, the earth element is linked to self-confidence, focus, inner peace, firmness, and physical health.
